Well made and works well
I bought this heated mattress cover to replace one I had for several years. It was $40 between the lower priced and higher priced pads and has the same features as the higher priced covers. (I call it a cover and not a “pad” because none of the heated “pads” have any notable padding. But, I use a quilted mattress pad over top of the heated cover for extra comfort.) **NOTE: All dual control heated mattress covers now require two separate electrical outlets.** This one fits the mattress perfectly. The elastic skirting is ample enough to fit at least six inches under my 17″ thick mattress on all sides. The controller cords are plenty adequate in length. The plugs for the cover are located at the bottom. I run the cords back under the mattress from the bottom to the top. The heating elements are short of the edges by 4″ to 6″ inches on each side and 8″ to 12″ at the head and foot of the cover. But, this does not affect the function of the cover to warm you. The controllers function very well and are easy to use. They have a preheat function and a settable timer to turn off automatically, both features are very useful. The cover material is stated as 100% polyester, which is a feature of the more expensive covers. I can honestly recommend this heated mattress cover.

REVISED REVIEW: I purchased the Valthie heated mattress pad last winter, and we loved it. However, this year I was disappointed to find it wasn’t heating properly. After recently leaving a review, the company immediately responded. Unfortunately, since so much time had passed from when I made the purchase, I wasn’t expecting a response. I had already replaced my mattress pad. I shouldn’t have been so quick to purchase a new one, but the thought of cold sheets with winter approaching … Anyway, Valthie made it right. Great customer service, definitely 5 stars! Thank youThier product:It does get very warm on the highest setting, which we enjoyed. However, if you prefer a cooler bed, it has adjustable heat settings (and dual controls), so you only need to find the setting that works for you. We also liked the long cords, so the control easily reached from the bottom mattress plug to the head of our bed (we have a Cal King). It’s comfortable to lay on, the fit is perfect, the pads plug is located at the bottom of the mattress. This isn’t a problem at all for us, but I can see it might be a problem if your feet reach the bottom of the bed.On the other hand: The cords on the new one I recently purchased are too short for the remote to reach the night table, we had to put a hook on the wall so we could reach the controls. We made it work, but it should have been caught by the manufacturer -who wants to reach to the floor in the dark to adjust the control?The new pad does have adjustable settings; however, it does not heat as hot as the Valthie did. We are older and missing the higher heat settings. Both pads are comfortable to sleep on, you can feel the wires, but it doesn’t affect our sleep and I’m a light sleeper. The annoying thing with the new pad (besides the low heat settings) is if you change settings during the night you have to go through the entire sequence to reset. Instead of going from 4 to 2 you need to go 4,5,6,1,2. Also, our new pad has a timer, but if you change the heat settings, the timer goes back to one, so 1,2,3,4,,5,6,7,8,9,10. I am regretting not buying another one from Vathie.The bottom line is next time I’ll use Vathie.

What You Need To Know!!!
I am a consumer. I am not a paid sponsor or an Amazon secret shopper. I just give honest reviews. The material quality is soft and durable. I weigh 191lbs. The fit on the bed is perfect. The controller with the extra long cord is a big big plus. It has 12 heat settings. I set it on 12 to see how hot it can get. I slept on it all night at that setting. However, the heat just in not there for me. Let me explain. I have a 20″ X 40″ heating pad that I have been using. It heats up very quickly. It has the EMF protection. It has 10 heat settings but I only use it on 3 or 4. Rarely fo I use the higher heat settings unless my back muscles are sore or the even higher settings 8,9 or 10 when I am experiencing muscle spasms. Use your own judgement. For me it doesn’t give me the heat that I want. I will be looking another mattress heating pad. I need one that heats up fast and that can provide the heat I am looking for. It is comfortable and you don’t feel the heating cords. I also like the fact that it was available in the gray color. I’d probably put this in the lightweight to medium weight catagory because of the heat. The price is typical. Otherwise this is a good buy.***UPDATE*** 12/24/2025I am revising my review to 5 stars. This actually works. The heat is not intense but you feel it when you lay on the bed. I actually recommend buying this. I was going to return this but decided to keep it. Plus I cannot find any other brand that has a gray color option. After more than 2 weeks of using it, I feel the difference. I recommend this.

I love this pad. Its well made. Works for aches and pains, not only cold weather. I love that it has 2 side heat choices and autoo shutoff. My kitty loves it too! LOL
