Cute, App-Free Alarm Clock for a Screen-free Bedroom.
This clock didn’t have many ratings when I bought it, so I was unsure what I would receive. I set it up yesterday and it was quite intuitive and functional. It doesn’t necessarily feel premium, but it doesn’t feel cheap either. The light is bright and warm, the snooze button is intuitive, and the alarm functions are easy to set up! There are ten sounds to choose from for the alarm portion, and I picked the bird song. I think the portion that feels the most lackluster to me is the sound. It’s fine, but it feels a bit outdated and like it’s soft and stuck in a tin can. Not a deal breaker for me, but something to note if you are an intense audiophile or are looking for a high quality sound machine. The thing I like most is the clock face is dimmable to different degrees of brightness, it’s cute as hell, it has a sunrise feature, it was not $160, and I don’t have to have another fairly pointless app to download and take up real estate on my phone. It helps me take steps in the direction to having a screen free bedroom!

Very nice alarm clock for price.
I am very satified with this alarm clock. It does exactly what is says it does. It is not complicated. It just takes a little reading of the instructions to learn the functions. I was even able to replace a night light lamp with this clock since it has a nightlight function along with colorful light functions. Both lights functions has ability to dim or brighten. The white noise is a nice feature as well. My 13 year old son even wants one. The Alarm 1 has the sunrise wake up feature. Bought on 1/24/26.

Pretty and functional.
This sunrise alarm clock works really well. The light is gentle and makes waking up feel more natural compared to a loud traditional alarm. I also like the clean, modern design — it looks really nice on my nightstand. The brightness and sound options are easy to adjust, and it’s simple to use once set up. Overall, it’s a great combination of function and aesthetics.I would definitely be interested in trying more products from this brand in the future and sharing another honest review.

Great light alarm!
I’ve only had this for about two weeks but it’s doing exactly what I wanted it to! During the winter I find it so hard to wake up when it’s still dark outside, even with a regular alarm. I wanted the light alarm to mimic sunlight to help my brain wake up. I set the light to ramp up about 15 minutes before my regular alarm and it’s been great, I’m getting up on time and feel much more ready to jump out of bed. Highly recommend!

Waste of money!!!
Just received this today. Will likely return it. I have tried setting the time and a test alarm to make sure it works. It does not.The time does not advance. As you can see from the photo, I set the time at 2:15 pm. It is now 2:45 pm.Very disappointed. And no, I am not emailing the company for support. If I cannot call and get support immediately, I am not wasting my time!

Bright natural light alarm, however, confusing to set
It’s not terrible but it’s also not great. The light is bright enough to wake you up, it has 2 alarms, multiple sounds, and it has a light display option. The stickers on the top say that alarm 2 features the natural light wake up, however it’s actually alarm 1. If alarm 2 does have a light option I haven’t figured it out yet…It has multiple sounds, including crackling, fire waves, birds.. but they sound kind of cheap? Like a cheap sound machine… alarm one also has the option to have a sound playing plus the natural light wake up.You can also turn the light on by itself. It has a plain yellow light and then it has multiple other light colors to choose from. There’s also an option to just have it cycle through all the different colors.I find the alarms confusing to set.. It takes me a lot of clicking back-and-forth to figure out how to set them.I got this because it seems to be a good alternative to paying the high prices of hatch, however, I am debating if I should’ve just paid more for better quality.

I’ve been trying to move toward a screen-free bedroom, and the Vivilumens Wood Grain Sunrise Alarm Clock has been the perfect addition to my nightstand. It’s much more than just a clock; it’s a full sleep-and-wake system that looks great with its modern wood-grain finish. Why I’m loving it:Gentle Sunrise Wake-Up: The way the light gradually shifts from deep red to warm white over 15 minutes is a game-changer. I find myself waking up naturally just before the sound starts, which feels a thousand times better than being jolted awake by a phone alarm.App-Free Convenience: One of the best parts is that it doesn’t require an app. You can set everything up directly on the device. It’s intuitive and keeps my phone out of my hands during my morning and evening routines.Immersive Sleep Sounds: The 10 natural sounds (I personally love the “gentle rain”) paired with the 30/60/90-minute sleep timer make it a solid sound machine. The audio quality is decent for a bedside unit and definitely helps me drift off.Dual Alarms & Dimmable Face: Having two independent alarms is great for different weekend/weekday schedules. Plus, the clock face itself is dimmable, so it doesn’t light up the whole room while I’m trying to sleep.RGB Mood Lighting: When I’m not using it as an alarm, the 8-color RGB mode makes for a really nice ambient night lamp for reading or meditation.Good to know: It does need to stay plugged in (no internal battery), so make sure you have an available outlet near your bed. If you’re looking for a peaceful, natural start to your day without spending $150+ on a name-brand version, this is a fantastic alternative.
The One Review –
I’ve been meaning to try a Sunrise alarm for a while and this one has ended up being rather decent. It should be noted though that this has zero radio or media playback options of any sort, it strictly uses the built in light as well as some preset tones to do the dreaded waking up. This has two alarms that can be set independently with easy swapping between one or the other or both. When setting the alarm it will start turning on the light 15 minutes ahead of the time you set starting off with a dim red. Over the next quarter hour it will ramp up the brightness till it hits the full warm white, at which point the sound alarm will go off providing you have it enabled though you can also leave it silent. At any time of course the light can be turned on and dimmed separately for a night light, and there is even a full colour mode as well if that’s your vibe. What I did not notice however was a sundown mode that some of these lamps have, though I find that less useful. There are many alarm tones available and in the video I cycle though them all. Some of these tones also cross over with the built in White Noise generator that can be toggled on separately. The noise generator can be run constantly or be set on a timer to shut down after 30 minutes or an hour. At lower volumes most of these sound decent on the back firing speaker, however at louder volumes the speaker does get more harsh and boomy and this goes for the alarms as well, though I don’t imagine using them at more than 3/4 is necessary. For those who need it though it does get quite loud. Out of the 10 tones available only one of them is really tone, more of a “brown noise” or as they call it a Fan, the rest are all things like rainfall, birds chirping etc. Its a lower deeper tone though and works well enough but I was looking for another slightly higher smoother “white noise” tone as well. This runs on USB C power and comes with both the cable and a ETL certified power brick to power it. If the power is lost the clock does have a built in battery to keep the time for a while. One feature I really like though is the clock numbers themselves can be dimmed or disabled entirely if they are too bright at night. The large snooze knob at the top controls this so it is easy to turn on again if you need to check the time and you have the numbers turned off.I got this in the beige colour and I found it a little darker and yellow than I thought it would be, looks a little like aged beige to be honest. Everything though is very solid and feels well made.
Down Da Bay Reviews –
There are 10 built-in sounds to choose from. When setting an alarm, there are 15 options to choose from. There is a large dial on top that is easy to reach and also functions as the snooze button. There are 2 separate alarms. For Alarm 1, if enabled, 15 minutes before the alarm time the light will come on with a deep red colour and then gradually brighten to simulate sunrise. You also have the option to have the alarm light-up only with no sound or to have only sound and no light. The front display can be dimmed or turned off completely. When using the sounds, a sleep timer can be set for 30, 60, or 90 minutes. The clock does not lose its settings if the power goes out, at least for a short while, I unplugged it for around 30 minutes and it kept the time when plugged back in.A great wake-up alarm clock, offering several sound options, and a gradual sunrise simulation. The options for waking up to both light and sound, or only light or sound are great.

It was refreshing to find that this alarm clock requires no app download, and there are some 9 buttons to adjust the settings. The symbols are fairly obvious but the instructions booklet definitely helped set it all up.This sunrise alarm clock turns on 15 minutes before the wake-up time set. The light starts with a red colour and brightens to a bright sun yellow through its cycle. The alarms tone plays after this cycle, at the time the clock is set. You can also choose not to have the sound play, but I was not able to find that setting, or to set it to play one of the ten other tracks of sounds, for example, to wake up to birds tweeting, it just seemed to always play the grating piano ta ta ta, ting ting ting. The time numbers are a bit small but still crisp and visible across the room because of the light colour (rather than orange or blue, which would be harder to read). It took me about a week to find a way to dim the numbers, which gives 4 different brightness settings, including turning them completely off. These settings helped because the first few options are very bright and act like a spotlight in the room, it’s too bright to sleep when set at those levels. In the morning, as soon as the red light turns on, I awake quickly, much before the 15 min cycle runs through. It does have a nice lighting wake up sequence, shading from the red to sunlight. It does not have any radio or media playback capabilities. The ten built-in sounds are interesting, but the sound quality leaves a bit to be desired to be played at length as background noise, it sounds tinny.I am impressed by the fact that it keeps time even when disconnected. The numbers do not display but when plugged back in, the time is correct and the programmed alarms also remain set.The wood grain model is attractive. It may be considered a small detail but the fabric over the light portion is installed crooked so the whole unit looks slanted to the left and bothers me whenever I look at it too closely.
