The best for getting out bed feeling awake and for staying focused at your desk!
Love it. Better than “Day-Light Classic Bright” (earlier version that is discontinued). I bought the classics in 2010, then 2 more in 2012 eventually buying. They got lost 3 years ago during a move.TLDR: It makes waking up so much easier. Hit the light after the alarm and close my eyes again. In 10-15 minutes I actually want to get out of bed which is not normal for me at all. Currently above my WFH desk and it keeps me engaged. Before I’d get sleepy and need a nap frequently. Not anymore! Buying my 2nd one today.Pros:- The new one seems just as bright as the classic even though the space it takes up is way smaller.- Cheaper than the classic was in 2010, which was $125 + tax without a stand. I paid $75 after tax for this because there was some $30 coupon.- Comes with a stand included in the price. I had to purchase 3 different stands at $79 a piece.- Stand is smooth so far on adjustments and takes up little space, big improvement compared to previous version.- The remote is great. I can’t get out of bed easily and the light is across the room by my desk.- Looks like it can be mounted with a computer monitor screen.Cons- The light’s stand is designed in a way where it can only go reliably up and down from the center. The base is connected to the pole at the end. If you swivel the light without turning the base it will fall over.- It doesn’t have a kickstand on the head so seems like you have to use the stand. Classic had a kick stand since it didn’t come with the stand.- Wish I new there was a new design. I would have rebought years ago. Didn’t have room until recently to be able to fit the classic sized one. Not much of a con…. ¯_(ツ)_/¯Last thoughts: I’m always surprised how much this helps me wake up in the morning (not a morning person at all) and how I’m able to work non-stop with it. The sleep you feel in your eyes when you can’t keep them open is gone.I’m purchasing my second one today.

Undeniable impact for me
I’ve been using this every morning and late afternoon for months now – and the one undeniable change for me is my sleep habits. I know these are pitched to help with depression, S.A.D. and skin disorders, but I have no data to share on any of that. However, I absolutely noticed that after maybe a month of use, I was waking up well before my alarm clock – for years, I’d be snapped out of sleep by my alarm. Now I’m waking earlier, very consistently, with a bit of energy to run with before work begins. This was the only change in my habits so I’m crediting this better sleep schedule to the consistent use of this lamp.

Absolutely recommend! I ordered it because I needed a bright light to help with my computer use in my dark room. I did not imagine how much I needed this! It keeps me energized and I find that the bright light keeps me focused and energized. The visual fatigue is also now a non-factor. It is terribly bright so I would discourage looking up. I would encourage you to review and examine the pictures closely. The base is flat and needs to be stabilized. I slid mine under the side of the sofa. If you do not have a heavy object to secure the base, the weight of the top will make it fall. I love the magnetic remote control. I turn the device on and place it right back on the lamp – no hunting of the remote required. I believe the lamp is very durable for long term use and is provides height adjustment from the top of the top of the main pole. It will then provide positional adjustments. I strongly encourage you not to pull this close over your head due to the brightness without some sort of eye protection. Mine preferred setting is super bright and then lowest. I love the timer on the remote I sometimes use. I often set it and leave it while working. I am very happy with this prodiuct.

Unstable and disappointing. Very top heavy and needs a better base.
I was really hoping this light would be a good companion to my floor model happy light as I would prefer not to move the one around frequently. Unfortunately, this light is very poorly designed and is extremely top heavy. I would bet that the marketers had to spend quite a bit of time adjusting the angle of the lamp for the photo as it topples over extremely easily. In fact, I got so tired of trying to wedge it under furniture that I eventually wrapped an edging brick in a hand towel on the foot so that it doesn’t fall over every time I want to adjust the angle of the light.That part said, the light itself is nice. I have been using and prescribing therapy lights for just shy of 30 years and I’ve seen many that aren’t very good quality and don’t provide the 10,000 lux necessary to treat SAD. This one does. I also like that the remote is magnetic and sticks to the post. Yes, it can negate the whole purpose of a remote but at least I’m not constantly looking for it. The functions on the remote are a bit complex but it’s doesn’t take long to get used to it. It’s quite easy to assemble as well.Overall, it’s a nice lamp but the instability issues really push it down to a 2 star product.

First off, let me say the light does work ..but that’s the only thing I can say good.. The shaft is in several pieces and there in lies the problem..It won’t stand up straight. I tightened all the joints, but to no avail..POOR DESIGN..

Nice bright light but very prone to falling over on carpet floors. Base is not large or heavy enough to be stable. The post comes in 3 pieces and is very flimsy. The assembly instructions are very incomplete and assembly is challenging.
