I was intrigued by this product given that I used a lot of solaray’s other products in the past, and that my partner and I have also used other brands of ashwaganda. Ashwaganda is helpful for reducing stress and anxiety, improving cognitive focus and function, and helping to improve mood and quality of sleep.I was not previously familiar with “shoden” ashwagandha but I am interested in this products claims for peak absorption and bioavailability. While I can’t say that I specifically notice a difference between taking this version of ashwagandha as opposed to the other ashwagandha supplements I have previously taken, I am hopeful that it is in fact able to be absorbed that much more effectively as the product description states. It is more expensive than other ashwagandha products I’ve used that don’t have these same absorption claims, so I think that is essentially what you are paying the premium price for.

What I Like:Solaray brand. Been around forever, have used some of their other supplements for over a decade with excellent results.Uses Shoden® Ashwagandha (with 35% Withanolide Glycosides). 84 mg of Withanolide Glycosides per serving.Better absorption. They claim 18x better, who knows. But better is good here.They use recycled bottles to reduce plastic waste. I’m not an environmental warrior, but do think less plastic helps.Ashwagandha is an adaptogen that I use in a stack (with mag threonate and L-theanine) to smooth out my mood (which tends to go up & down a bit too much w/o the stack). Have only been using this for a couple of weeks but have reordered as it works at least as well as the brand I was using (and I trust Solaray more).What I don’t like:Price per serving here is more than double what most competitors charge. My priority is to buy the best I can find when it comes to supplements. If your priority runs more toward cost the serving price here may be a limiting factor.
