Wonderful health information watch

Not bad for the price
I’ve checked my watch vitals as the Dr’s office was taking them and the results were within a point or two. Could use some more bells and whistles and it would be nice if it would sync with the health apps on my phone. But I am not disappointed with it for the price I paid. Been using it for a couple months now.

Tricked out generic smartwatch with health data oddities
✅ Pros: – Accurate and useful HRV Tracking – Cool Body Temperature/Stress monitoring – Impressive MET tracking – Scientific Sleep Data 🚫Cons: – Does not count 50% of the steps. – BP Readings are 11% off

Great Value Smartwatch
The screen is clear, the Bluetooth calling works smoothly, and the health tracking is fairly accurate for everyday use. It’s comfortable, has plenty of sports modes, and the battery lasts several days. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Nice watch not accurate
Wrist watch does not update automatically for all of its health features. Plus results for health functions don’t go directly to the app. automatically.

Pretty good but with some oddities
I do basically think this is a pretty good ‘smart watch’ but it has had enough problems that it should warrant some points off. For the price tier this sits compared to other watches those problems are probably totally reasonable. It does have a pretty wide range of features that I find cool. Phone finder, calculator, flashlight, and a downloadable library of tons of watch faces are all awesome things to add in and are all executed pretty well. The main issue I have had while wearing it though is all the basic watch stuff.First thing I checked when putting it on is the ‘wake on rise’ function and I still cannot get it to work consistently. Almost comically it would wake up for a split second and go back to sleep. Multiple times I caught it on while lowered then it blinked out when I actually looked at it. Tried it at all sensitivity levels but none seem to be quite right. Had it working for the better part of a day as long as I lifted my arm in exactly the right spot but then that stopped working. Next thing I noticed is that seemingly randomly the watch face would be different and it would also bring up the ‘health check’ app on its own. What I eventually figured out is that the screen was waking up while lowered then was selecting apps when it brushed against stuff. Lowering the wake up sensitivity made this happen less often but it still happens. The fact that you can do stuff on the touch screen without a physical button first is probably the real problem here there is no hard lock on the screen unless you totally turn off wake on rise. I might have to take that route after finding the setting to always display at least the basic clock so I can check time. This leads into the battery problem. It would probably maybe last 7 days if you never use any of the features but it barely lasts 2 with everything turned on and the charging isn’t fast. Maybe worth it for all the ‘health monitor’ stuff but it also does kill your phone battery faster as well since it syncs with the phone health app. Leading into the the health monitor itself I have some doubts on how well most of that works. Heart rate probably easy enough but some things seem questionable. A few seem to change a bit with activity changes but some seem clearly off. Sleep should be an easier one but I find that is almost most often wrong. It doesn’t track ‘awake’ by if you are awake in bed it seems to work off if you get up out of bed but even then it has gotten that wrong where it didn’t report a time I got up out of bed and walked to the next room (even used the flashlight on the watch). That should be one of the easier functions on the watch so if that doesn’t work I really question the rest. I don’t have a ton to test this against but I do have a body fat scale and the watch body test show a pretty far difference than that scale. Probably neither is very accurate but it was far enough off to be suspicious.Sort of last sort of problems are the message alerts, alarms, and the app itself. The app first thing tries to get you to sign up to some random service then asks for literally every phone permission which red flags me right quick. I get why it needs the phone stuff and it lets you skip the sign up but still a red flag. The app itself is mostly OK for function it lets you change most of the watch settings and check the test results. As mentioned before it does eat a bunch of battery while in ‘active’ mode doing all day monitoring. Apparently by default it only works with the ‘mainstream’ message apps by default and all other messages go into ‘other’ which seems to have way less feature sets. Signal and Discord are both ‘other’ but end up being my main messaging so I get a very brief note on the watch face but that is all. Alarms are their own thing on the watch/app and it doesn’t sync with phone alarms which is a bit annoying. It really isn’t bad but for as much of a feature set that it advertises most of it doesn’t work great and as a watch it isn’t super comfortable and the watch functions are weak. I will probably turn off most of the health stuff and rise on wake and use it more as just a regular watch which should be fine. Seems to use standard bands so probably replace the gross rubbery band at some point.
