Someone suggested these to me, I never knew there was such a thing!My 1st one was still functioning after years of use but I decided to order a new one and retire the old one.I use this ALL YEAR ROUND!Now that ive had one, I will NEVER, EVER go without one!I havent tried any other brands for comparison. But why would I when I struck gold on the first draw? SERIOUSLY —- let me just sum it up quickly… Summer- AC kicking gets a little chilly inside, this is great on low! Winter, cut down on fuel cost keeping the house cooler but in the middle of the night get a little chilly? Reach over and turn this on! Sooo comfy!!!! Sick? Hurt? Body chills or aches? This mattress pad is a DREAM…. There’s high and low and multiple levels in between. SO THERAPUTIC!!!!!! AND….. dual controls and thats the ticket because me and my husband are not compatible with temps and thermostats! LOL. Bonus is my little poodle sleeps with us and she absolutely LOVES the heated mattress pad! Especially after her grooming hair cuts, she’s all about the warm spots! Its easy to clean and maintain. It also has a timer.Totally, one of the greatest inventions ever! Just over $100 may seem like a weighted investment, or a “luxury” opposed to a necessity as i always hear my husband terming every purchase decision right down to groceries….. LOL. But I assure you, once you take the leap and get yourself one of these… You will be quick to learn this isnt a luxury, but a necessity! There are so many PRO’S and not a single con I can assign to purchasing and owning one of these. With years of use before you purchase another you will be quick to see the initial investment really does equate and is well worth it! I TRULY thought that this was a seasonal item….. AND I WAS SO WRONG. I cannot reiterate enough, that the couple of weeks between retiring my old one and ordering a new one, fell in the summer months and i was in no hurry to reorder & had it on my watch list hoping for a sale…. when one came and I ordered, I put it on our bed… I realized just how necessary it was to have this as it truly affected my sleep quality and comfort. Ill not make that mistake again!Take the leap, order one! You wont be sorry!

So much better than a heated blanket
I love this pad don’t know why I didn’t have one before this. Got it on a Black Friday deal, so price was good.Called the company because the instructions said don’t use with an inverter with no explanation. These person I talked to was pleasant, had a child in the background, but explained the unit might not get enough power ( like maybe in a small RV) this didn’t apply to a whole house system with pure sign wave power, which I have. Like many reviews I will complain about the plug connector at the pad i do not have an outlet at the foot of my bed so in order to plug it in the connector is near my pillow on the side of the bed, yes under the sheet but still in touch with my arm or head depending. The controls are absolutely wonderful I can set it before bed time get in, I can chose the level of warmth and how long I want it on, because it works so well and I use blankets the heat stays along time after it turns off and sometimes I restart it for a short time in the AM. Makes sleep better because less joint and muscle pain and I move better in the AM. There was a little smell but second night it was gone. I have been using this for a couple weeks so how it will hold up I don’t know, hope a long time. If it doesn’t I will still buy another I like it that well.

Not really a “full” heating area; more a wide heating strip down center.The bed is approximately 54 inches wide; the heated strip is 29 inches wide.Fine if you are “sleeping single in a double bed”
