Don’t be confused by the conflicting advice in these reviews!!!!
Ok, so you’re reading the product reviews trying to figure out if this powder is disgusting or delicious. You are conflicted. Some people say that it is LITERALLY UNDRINKABLE, while others say that it’s THE BEST PROTEIN POWDER THEY’VE EVER TASTED.I came into this purchase with very, very low expectations. First of all, I hate mocha flavored things. Second of all, I HATED the Vega sport performance protein (chocolate flavor), because I could taste the beany-ness of it, and the texture and smell were revolting (also, it started to separate within 2 minutes of mixing. Gross). I bought this powder because Whey protein powders really really upset my stomach, even though some of them are delicious. All of that aside, here’s what I have to say:This protein powder is fing delicious. Holy mackeral. I was so surprised that I liked it, I was honestly expecting that I’d have to add bananas and peanut butter and soy milk to make it palletable. I tried it with plain, cold water in a shaker bottle. It’s awesome! The mocha flavor is very very subtle, and the chocolate flavor is really rich and creamy. It’s pretty sweet, but no sweeter than a milkshake, so if you’re one of those reviewers complaining about how “unbearably sweet it is”, you need to understand that they’re TRYING to make this taste like a yummy, creamy milkshake. And even when mixed with plain water, IT DOES!!!!!!The texture is great. It has a little grain to it, but it absolutely is not offensive or overpowering.I’m going to try mixing it with some soy milk tomorrow and see how that tastes. If you’re worried about which protein powder to buy, BUY THIS ONE!! Seriously. It’s cheap, delicious, and the macros stack up great against Whey protein powders.Do not be afraid! Take the plunge!! You’ll love it (and if not, mix in a bunch of other crap until it tastes good, and buy something else next time). IN the end, your taste buds are unique, so you have to try it to know if you’ll like it or not.

Quality Plant Based Protein Powder
This protein powder was on a list of recommended plant based products from my daughter’s dietitian. I bought the chocolate mocha flavor. The most important factors for me are taste, ability to mix easily, clean ingredients, and price, this product meets all of them. I will try other flavors, but I can definitely recommend the chocolate mocha flavor.

So Delicious!!!
My husband has been on a mission to get me to use protein powder for years. He’s tried making me shakes and mixing protein powder in with pancakes and I just could never tolerate it…the chalky, bland, fake flavor disgusted me. That is until he found this stuff. You see, I am 4 months post-partum and recently signed up for a fitness challenge that requires a certain amount of protein intake per day. My husband convinced me one shake a day would help, so I gave it a try. We picked this particular brand because our daughter has a terrible reaction when I eat dairy or soy and it gets into my breastmilk. This is free of both :)The first shake I made I used 8 oz of almond milk and a scoop of the chocolate protein. It was SO chocolate and pretty grainy. I dumped it in the blender and added 6 ice cubes and a cup of strawberries and holy cow! It is the best protein shake I’ve ever had. I could only taste the fruit a little and the chocolate flavor was perfect! I tried it again, but with a banana instead of strawberries and it was so creamy! I literally look forward to having a protein shake now.I also want to add that people rave about Shakeology and going off taste alone, I think this protein powder is so much better! I know that stuff is packed with other super foods, but this stuff has more protein per serving and is $115 cheaper per month. I will definitely be buying this again!!!

Good but sodium is on the high side.
I do like the taste and other health benefits. There is just one flaw, sodium. If you have high blood pressure and are limiting your sodium intake to 1000mg a day 2 scoops will get to that number in no time. Just watch you sodium intake. If you don’t have to watch your sodium then this is fine.

Would be better cooked into something.
I mixed with milk and it tasted ok. A little gritty. As noted., might make some brownies or something out of it.

Fantastic, Healthy Pea Protein
Has a slightly earthy taste to it, which I guess could also be considered gritty, but I absolutely love it. Usually pea complex proteins are gritty and taste bad, but this is delightful. I only use one scoop every morning with my protein smoothie and it adds to a thicker consistency and taste than most other protein powders. Add into this that it’s vegan and you can’t go wrong. I’m not happy that it has so much sodium per serving, but since I only use one scoop per day, it doesn’t bother me too much. Highly recommend you buy this since it’s affordable at only $10/lb and has a consistent, pleasing flavor that’s rare for a vegan protein made of peas. The chocolate flavor also is noticeable and aids to the taste.

My FAVORITE vegan protein!
Great alternative to whey protein! No fancy flavors here.. just chocolate or vanilla, but that’s fine with me. I tried mixing this a couple of times in a blender bottle and it mixes pretty good. I’m not super picky about grittiness so I guess I’m not the best judge. I usually blend this with greens, produce and nuts & seeds for breakfast, lunch and snacks. The chocolate flavor is not as rich as say Optimum Nutrition’s chocolate flavors but that is all right with me since I mix this with other flavors. If I want more of a chocolate flavor, I usually toss in cacao nibs in my blender with it. This is a good quality vegan choice and my personal favorite!
