Run don’t walk!
I don’t typically write reviews, but felt I needed to for this item. If you’re having knee replacement surgery run don’t walk to buy this machine! Had my surgery last Friday and this has been a life saver. I’d heard so many horror stories about the pain after, I almost wanted to back out. Here I am 6 days post surgery and have not needed any pain medicine. I took Tylenol the first couple of days, but haven’t even needed that all thanks to this machine. It was easy to set up, stays cold for hours and works beautifully. Love that I can set the time for 20 minutes on and 20 off and don’t have to fuss with it again unless I turn it off myself. IMO this is a must have for knee replacement surgery. I would give this 100 stars.

i had shoulder replacement surgery and bought this setup for it and has been about 5 weeks with it and love there setup as i’m an older person so i get up like two times a night to go to bathroom so having the velcro straps where you can move them to your liking is great i have adjusted mine so i can take it off easy to go bathroom. i use 80oz. of water and 5 water bottles and it last all night. had problem at the start of it shutting off in the middle of the night and contacted the company and they sent a replacement power pact watch was the problem, they stand behind there product and that’s why i’m giving them a star! machine works great!

I love it—except for 1 thing…
This ice therapy machine is a gem! 1 It keeps the water flowing through the pad cold for probably 11 or 12 hours if you put enough bottles of frozen water in it. There’s just one thing: when you turn the compression on, for some reason it auto shuts off after about 4 minutes no matter what time you’ve got it set to. NOTE: Their customer service is really good. I contacted them about this issue and They are sending me a new adapter; what they said was “Our engineer found out the problem of the remote controller is caused by the A/C adapter. Some of A/C adapters have unstable electric current”

Don’t buy this, it SHUTS OFF automatically
Don’t buy this, for all it says about the benefits, enough customers are talking about how it automatically SHUTS OFF complete power by itself at around 3 minutes. I am 12 hrs home from major knee surgery and dealing with a unit that does not work and multiple customers have the same problem. It sounds like the company is aware of this problem. The water level is just shy of the max fill line, the wires are properly connected and we checked the current on them, there are no links in the lines, It’s faulty.

Fantastic product
I had fractured my kneecap and was told that circumferential icing would help the most. While I wish there was more coverage in the back, this ice machine was a HUGE help in my postoperative recovery.

So far so good. I do recommend this..
The pad lays on top and sides of my knee. I did need to use small bags of frozen peas for the back of my knee. Which was ok, except for the pump dying on day 2 after my knee operation. Well, it didn’t die, but the cable unplugged itself. After I wrapped the plugs in electrical tape the machine has been working perfectly now 3 weeks after surgery. I’ve found I REALLY like the flexible nature of the water container..It easily fits 7 frozen 16 oz pop bottles that I change out every 12 hours-water remains icy cold.

A necessity for knee replacement
A must have for a knee replacement. It works great. It can be set to automatically start and shut off however you want. You can use it at night and not worry about getting up. It helps immensely with swelling and discomfort.

Had great potential, Faulty Remote Control
I can see why this receives strong reviews. It is pretty quiet, easy to set up, and ice remains cold for quite some time. However, the compression component is more of a little tickle even on the highest setting of number two. So if you are thinking about a post-operative compression machine this is not it.However for me I received a fulty unit. Unfortunately the remote control shuts off randomly. See the video where it ran for 2 minutes from 20 minutes down to 18 and just randomly shut off with 18 minutes left. This shut off behavior happens in any mode setting. I continue to use it for several hours by manually restarting it. The behavior continued.Of note:The unit is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Which is actually a good thing. However, there is no way you are going to fit six frozen water bottles and the pump. Please plan on 5 or less bottles. And no, the bottles do not come with the unit.On a side note, I emailed the manufacturer directly and they quickly responded. For refern cenin case this happens to you:service@myaerobear.com
