A Game-Changer for My Health
I’ve been using the Amazfit Helio Ring (size 12) for a while now, and it has truly been a game-changer for my health and well-being. I initially got it to better understand my sleep, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way.The ring’s sleep tracking is incredibly detailed and insightful. It goes beyond just telling me how long I slept, providing me with valuable information about my sleep quality, including deep, light, and REM sleep cycles. What’s been most helpful for me is the data on things like hypopnea episodes. This is information I can now share directly with my doctor, which has made our conversations about my sleep health so much more productive and evidence-based. The data is presented in a clear and easy-to-understand way, making it simple to track trends and identify potential issues.But the Helio Ring is more than just a sleep tracker. It also helps me document my daily life in a way I didn’t expect. The data it collects on my daily reactions and mood has been fascinating. By correlating my activity levels, sleep quality, and other biometric data with my mood, I’m starting to see patterns I never noticed before. Works OK but has some shortcomings
It’s mediocre. It does heart rate and sleep monitoring, but doesn’t seem super accurate and the battery life is abysmal (2 days max until it’s <20% which means it won't last through the next night). It's also blindingly bright at night, and the green heart rate monitor light stays on the entire night continuously which is obnoxious and distracting if you share a bed.I like the appearance, it's "low key" and looks better than other smart rings on the market. I wish the battery life was longer and they could do something about that heartrate light while monitoring sleep.

Amazing Ring, Great Features for half the cost!
This is an amazing smart ring though it does have a few minor downfalls.The sensors are extremely accurate and it collects a ton of data. At first I thought the “emotion detector” was going to be a nonsensical filler, but after being in a few stressful situations I received a notification asking if I was stressed during a certain time period. Each time it provided accurate feedback and then logged that information for later review.My personal favorite feature is the sleep sensor. As someone with sleep challenges at times it is really great to see how well I’m sleeping and what I can do to fix it.The heart rate, step counter and oxygen level monitors are phenomenal as well. Though one of the few downfalls of this ring is that if you want to track a workout you have to enable it through the Zepp app compared to similar smart rings that sense it automatically. It’s not a deal breaker by any means but it can be a little annoying if you forget.The only other “complaint” I have is that the battery doesn’t last as long as advertised if you have all the functions enabled. With everything enabled the battery lasts about 2 1/2 days, not bad but could be better. Not all the functions are necessary so if you don’t enable the stress/emotion sensors and set the heartrate monitor to scan every 30 minutes instead of every 10 minutes I’m sure the battery will last longer.Now the main thing that convinced me to buy this ring instead of any other brands I was looking into was the fact that THERE IS NO SUBSCRIPTION!!! Normally Amazfit charges a subscription fee in the Zepp app for their other devices in order to access Zepp Aura Premium and Zepp Coach Premium. This ring gives you access to both services FOR FREE FOR LIFE!!! Zepp aura is a relaxation meditation service and Zepp Coach is an AI powered “personal trainer” of sort. I personally wouldn’t pay for it if it wasn’t included with the ring, but they’re great add-ons.Overall for $170 this is an AMAZING smart ring if you don’t want to fork over $400 plus a subscription every month for the competitors. As long as you’re okay with a fairly average battery life and having to enable work out tracking yourself I think this is a pretty good option.

I previously purchased cheap rings from a Chinese site, they seemed to work, but step count was very low and the app was pretty poor. I’d had Amazfit products previously and they were always well made and the Zepp app worked well. This ring works nicely, looks nice and is made very well. The Zepp app works well with it and integrates with Apple Health. Very happy with this purchase.
