Great Heated Mattress Pad
I have tried many heated mattress pads; this one is by far the best. I love the controls on the Beautyrest, they are easy and convenient to use. I especially like the way it stays on the number you set the last time until you change it. Many of the pads don’t do that and you end up clicking a whole lot, could be all hours of the night. It also seems to be of a very good quality and easy to install.

I love this heated mattress pad, including the fact that the deep pockets were SO easy to get on my very deep mattress. I had to experiment over a few nights to find out just what worked for me but now that I have discovered it, it is such a pleasure. I love that it has 20 instead of 10 heat settings so that it goes more gradually up or down to help you find just the right setting. I am always cold early in the night but I get quite warm toward morning so I finally settled on a heat of 7 and a timer turn-off of 3 hours. With that I can have only a sheet and a summer-weight comforter over me even in the winter. I also love the gentleness of the heat. It is SO much more pleasant to have the heat under you instead of over you, as in an electric blanket. On another note, there was a reviewer who was sending his mattress pad back because, he said, he decided to test it out before he went to the trouble of putting it on the bed (which I can certainly understand). He left it on about 4 hours and said it didn’t get warm. But I’ve discovered that you really hardly feel the warmth until you are lying on it. I turn mine on 5 to 10 minutes before I go to bed and, to my hand, the heated side doesn’t feel too much different from the unheated side, but once I’m in the bed it warms up within a minute or two. It seems the weight of your body brings the wonderfully gentle heat out. My only regret is that, unlike when I used to have one of these back before the turn of the century, you could get them with greater warmth at the feet, which was wonderful. I was so disappointed not to have been able to find one now with this feature as many of us suffer from particularly cold feet and it is very hard to fall asleep when your feet are cold. The old ones made it easier to heat your feet sufficiently without overheating the rest of you. But I am delighted to have a new one and am now wondering how I’ve made it the last 20 to 25 years without one!

Very Poor Quality
I’ve had this heated mattress pad for about 14 months. It died today. The first controller displayed an error. The manual‘s troubleshooting instruct to test the second controller on the side of the bed experiencing the error. The second controller also displayed an error, which, (according to the manual) means the pad itself is malfunctioning.I’ve been less than thrilled with this pad since I first received it (the pad offers very narrow zones of heat surrounded by ice cold regions-not like pads I’ve owned in the past offering full heat coverage and a long lifespan). This will go into the trash. Not worth the time and effort to pursue a warranty replacement.

This is easy to set up. The mattress pad goes on the bed with the cord plug ins at the foot. The cords are attached and go under the entire bed, running up the floor to the head, attached to the controllers, then plugged into the outlet. The item arrived quickly, was appropriately packaged with clear instructions included. We will hook it up to our Alexa device tho we haven’t tried those features as yet. The pre heat feature is super!Bonus surprise: the mattress pad itself is fluffy and adds a noticeable bit of luxury to our already good mattress. The fabric and workmanship are very good. It fit our thick mattress with plenty of skirt to tuck under the mattress.

A positive update to my previous review below. This mattress pad lasted 1 season, then the right side died, so I can’t upgrade this to 5 stars but I can upgrade it from 3 stars to 4 stars because of the warranty performance. It has a 5 year warranty, but the warranty is not from Beautyrest. I followed the enclosed instructions and set up an online account with the actual manufacturer. When it died, I logged in and did my claim online. They responded immediately. The process was a little convoluted, but after a couple of emails to make them understand that it was not the controllers, but the actual mattress pad, they sent us a new mattress pad and controllers by FEDEX. Whole process took about a week. So, that takes care of the warranty worries and gives this an extra star for a strong 4 star rating. You can buy with confidence. We saved the original box, which turned out to be a good idea, as they wanted the UPC code as proof of purchase. A picture of the box and the Amazon receipt left no questions as to purchase.So far, this is a good heating pad. It lost a star because it was not very well padded, as described. Covering it with a regular mattress pad cover solved that issue. It lost a second star because, while labeled and boxed as a Beautyrest product, it is not warrantied by Beautyrest, but by a company I’ve never heard of. Other heated mattress pads I’ve owned have not lasted more than a couple of years, so going with a “name brand” with a 5 year warranty was a large factor in my purchase decision. This was a disappointing surprise. That said, it heats well and evenly, and the ability to control the automatic shut off time keeps you from waking up in the middle of the night overheated. The wires are long and easily reach the end of the bed and the wall outlet. The controller is great, and allows you to easily customize the settings to your preference. The readout initially fights up brightly, then quickly dims.

I bought this right before we got a major cold snap this winter, and I’m SO happy with it. I like that it’s 100% cotton, and the twin xl fits perfectly on my side of our split king adjustable bed. Now I can be warm and toasty, while my husband enjoys his freezing cold side lol. I preheated it for an hour before first time I used it, and wow, what a revelatory experience it was when I went to bed! Instead of bracing for the cold mattress to suck out whatever measly body heat I have, I’m now greeted with a warm, relaxing, enveloping hug. My husband laughs at my new climate-controlled biosphere, but I don’t want to live in a world without it! The cord is heavy duty/high quality, it’s easy to use, and I like that there are 20 heat settings to choose from. I did notice that some reviewers said that their mattress warmer suddenly stopped working after a few months, so I made sure to register my product with Beautyrest for their 5-year warranty. So far so great – highly recommend! Oh, and our heating bill has gone down 18% compared to the same time last year 🙂

My one star is all because of the useless support for this product and I’m really glad we bought it through Amazon. Think about support down the road before you buy Beautyrest. We bought the king size heated mattress pad. Got it in 4 days, good delivery. It installed quite well and the fit was good. Plugged the controllers into the outlets (you need one for each) and plugged the controller ends into the pad. Turned it on and both controllers were set to 20 (max). I left it on for about an hour to make sure it was working. Lowered the temp. to 15 and shut both controllers off. Went to turn on the controllers about 2 hrs. before bed, then checked an hour later and only one controller was on? I unplugged, switched sides and nothing, completely dead. Contacted Amazon and they suggested calling Beaytyrest Canada. They could do absolutely nothing except give me a phone number for some company, JLA Home in California in the US. I called them and they were the WORST support I have ever seen in my life. All I wanted was for them to send me controllers that work and all they kept saying was “contact the seller”??? Their suggestion was to order a new one from Amazon, that’s how our “warranty” works. What a crock of you know what. So, Amazon is sending a complete new heated mattress pad (what a waste) and I’m going to crumpled up the first one, which should be fun as it was vac-packed, and send it back. Sheeeesh
